Synopsis
Dongpal, a hoodlum, Keeyoung, a union activist, and Yujin, an amateur writer, are three fugitives who find the same hiding place at a comic book rental shop, in a working-class district in Seoul. People come and kill time at the shop, reading comic books and pulp novels and watching pirate videos. At night, the place, which is run by the beautiful Madam, serves as a shelter for those who cannot afford to stay at a hotel. Dongpal keeps trying to find his friend Pangko who disappeared the day they committed a crime together. Attracted by Madam's beauty, Dongpal almost rapes her at the shop. Then she ignores him but allows him to stay. One day, Dongpal kicks the neighbourhood hoodlums out of the shop. But they come back in his absence and destroy the place. The three men decide to rebuild the shop with their own hands. Madam gets to know Dongpal better. This will be a short-lived peace...
