Synopsis:
“Until the Lights Come Back” by director Minamoto Takashi is inspired by the 2003 blackout in New York City, Minamoto crafts an all-new narrative, revolving around the lives of a dozen different characters, as they cope with life and love in Tokyo during an unexpected power outage. This moving tale takes place on a cold winter's day in December, just before Christmas. The twelve characters in question end up touching each other's lives in surprising ways, as the city comes to a complete standstill after a satellite goes rogue, damaging the city's power plant. This waiting period is utilized by the film's protagonists as a chance to take a good long look at their lives, as each seems to be suffering from some sort of personal heartbreak.
